About Us
Founded in 2024, REBEL GOAT was born out of a refusal to conform—to fast fashion, to cultural erasure, and to the notion that heritage should be muted or made palatable. We are a slow fashion studio grounded in rebellion, legacy, and sustainability.
Our founder, a Southern-born artist and designer, envisioned REBEL GOAT as a living archive—where personal history, cultural memory, and everyday materials are transformed into bold, lasting garments. We believe clothing should carry meaning, provoke thought, and endure beyond trends.
At the heart of our design philosophy is cotton—a material loaded with symbolism. It represents both exploitation and survival, labor and beauty. For us, it’s more than fabric. It’s a thread tying past to present, pain to power.
Our collections honor the complexity of African American Southern heritage. They celebrate transformation—turning the ordinary into the unforgettable. Each piece challenges convention while honoring the legacy it stands on.
We create in small batches, with purpose and precision. Every garment is designed and produced in-house or in partnership with local artisans and ethical makers. We prioritize recycled, deadstock, and natural materials, ensuring minimal waste and maximum intention.
There’s no excess here. No empty trends. Just storytelling you can wear—and a system we’re reclaiming on our own terms.
